Our mission is to create a portfolio of institutional-grade, premium-branded franchised hotel investments for ourselves and our investor partners.

National Lodging & Leisure has assembled a management team with over 175 years of collective experience in commercial investment properties, development, construction, and management of 20 hotel properties and over 4,700 rooms nationwide.

John J. Moran

President & CEO

A seasoned commercial real estate and construction professional, Mr. Moran brings over 35 years of experience in real estate investing, fundraising, private equity and commercial development. Over the course of his career, he has been responsible for the acquisition and development of investment real estate properties totaling over 5.5 million sq. ft. valued in excess of $1 billion.

In addition to founding NLL, for the past 10 years Mr. Moran has run Moran Advisors, a real estate development and construction consulting firm specializing in hospitality projects. Recent engagements included: serving as owner’s representative in connection with a new $12 million Homewood Suites in northwest Indiana; and, providing investment advisory services and arranging a joint venture for the owners of a new $14 million Home2 Suites by Hilton in Bloomington, Indiana. 


Prior to forming NLL and Moran Advisors, Mr. Moran was president of Golf Sport, Inc., a national developer of golf practice centers, and held senior management positions with Vantage Companies, Duke Realty Corporation and Lauth Property Group.

Mr. Moran received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and is a licensed general contractor and real estate broker. He is involved with a variety of civic and industry associations including Eiteljorg Museum, Indiana University Kelley School of Business Alumni Association, and the National Sporting Clays Association.

George N. Pappas, CHA
Executive Vice President

Responsible for hotel management and operations including training and supervision of all on-site management personnel, Mr. Pappas brings almost 40 years of hands-on hospitality experience to the company, and is responsible for hotel franchising, operations, property turnovers and conversions. During his career, Mr. Pappas has managed 21 select-service and full-service hotels ranging in size from 130 to 350 rooms.


He has experience and deep relationships with almost all the leading hotel chains in the country, including: InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton and Marriott. Hotels under his leadership have consistently achieved exceptionally high customer satisfaction ratings and received numerous awards for excellence, making him one of the most experienced hoteliers in the country.


Mr. Pappas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from the University of Massachusetts, has received the prestigious Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, and holds certificates in hotel management and food and beverage service from Holiday Inn University. George is also an active member of the American Hotel Lodging Association.

James J. Gaydosh

Senior Vice President, Capital Markets & CFO

A seasoned financial strategist, investment banker and business creator, Mr. Gaydosh, who will be responsible for investor relations and capital markets, has built multiple real estate investment banking platforms and real estate investment businesses and, over this period, raised over $5.0 billion in private and public capital. He has worked in all the major property sectors but has a specialty in hospitality and medical real estate.


Since 2009, Mr. Gaydosh has been the managing partner of GSP Partners – a value and thought driven real estate consulting firm. Prior to forming GSP Partners, Jay held senior management positions with Citicorp, McDonald & Company, Captec Financial Group, Origen Financial, Ryan Beck and Janney Montgomery Scott. 


Mr. Gaydosh holds a Bachelor of Science from Miami University. He is involved with several civic and industry associations including the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trust, Urban Land Institute, Pension Real Estate Association, Mortgage Bankers Association, International Council of Shopping Centers and Shaker Youth Hockey Association.

William Raguse
Vice President, Construction

Mr. Raguse brings over 40 years of experience in commercial construction management and is responsible for directing pre-development and construction activities of the company. Prior to NLL, he was responsible for overseeing numerous major property renovations and brand-mandated property improvement plans (“PIPs”).       

A highly experienced construction professional, Mr. Raguse has supervised renovation and new construction of numerous retail, industrial, office building and hotels projects throughout the country.

His formal training and education include a major in business from the University of Wisconsin, marketing and sales training in design/build, pre-engineered and general construction services, and Indiana and Florida real estate licenses. In addition, Mr. Raguse holds a master electrical contracting license.
